In Arizona (finally), and some actually made it home!

Well, it is 1am locally, and 4am Eastern.

The Level 2 team has arrived in Phoenix and is tucked in. We had a great day Friday. The guys got the biggest section of roof shingled, and helped move all the shingles to the roof.

Pastor Aaron Patton (of Oak Grove Baptist Church, who graciously provided free lodging for us) and the owner of the home which is used for local missions work expressed tremendous amounts of gratitude. They also mentioned numerous times how incredible the young people have been the entire week.

Friday afternoon, after packing up all the Arizona crew, we headed off to Camp CUMCITO, a mission camp for inner city kids. The girls decorated, got all dressed up, and waited on all of the teen girls having their camp "special" dinner. The girls received a standing ovation for their ministry.

The guys, still recovering from their roof work, were forced to leave the all-girls camp, and go out to find (much to their delight) an incredible BBQ joint, where they ate VERY well.

All this came to a close about 8pm. This is where the team had to part ways. The Arizona team had a late night to get to Oklahoma City (they got there at 2am). The level 1 teens went back to KC for the last night.

Saturday was ALL travel:

The young ones went and dropped off Bethany (who we all had a really hard time parting with - she seemed sad to be going back to Texas, which is saying something from a Terry) then they headed home. They took a couple of stops, including one at the St. Louis Arch, and got home about 1am Eastern.

Team two crossed two time zones into Arizona. Getting in about 45 minutes ago (12:15am) ALL were asleep as I (Pastor Dave) completed the last two hours into Phoenix.

We look forward to Sunday School, AM Worship, Lunch, Afternoon Service, and Evening VBS canvassing with Oasis Baptist Church tomorrow. Whooo Hoooo!

Thank you soooooomuch parents for your prayers.

Kevin, Barbi, Dan, Josh, Bryan, Wes, Katie, Mandy, and Bethany!
We miss you guys!!!

Finally going to sleep after 900 miles on the road!
Pastor Dave
