STEM '10 Week One Day One

Our Youth Missions Trip started off very well today. We took off at 9:15a and arrived at Faith Baptist Community Center just before 10a.  This left us with about two hours to transform the center into a racing themed setting, ready for Bible time, Craft time, games, puppets, and an opening and closing time filled with songs and fun.

The team did a great job (see the pics) and was pretty well prepared by lunch time.  Lunch was provided by our friends at the center, and then it was time to get into the housing complex across the street for some canvassing and rounding up.

Our VBS had 19 young people arrive, which was a pretty good number, considering the holiday turnover.  Everything ran very smooth, and the team did very well.

After some clean up, the we spent time doing our Missions Trip devos and spending a little time reviewing the day.  We covered what we did well, what we needed to improve on, what we learned, and what was cool.  Then we each said what we appreciated about something we saw somebody else do.

After our final cleanup and run-through for Tuesday, we loaded up and did a little split Chik-Fil-a and Chipotle time for supper and arrived home early.

Thanks so much for the prayers, pray for more kids, and more opportunities for our teens to show and share Christ's love.
